JOSEPH ZALUSKI

It’s three in the morning, I’m only sleeping about four hours each night, sleep deprived, and self medicated.   But as a night owl and a madman, this is normal for me, this is how I create.  For about sixteen years my art has been about myth and horror, politics and unity.  I’ve learned many mediums to be able to facilitate bringing my visions to life.  However, these days, all I can focus on is revolution.  All I can think about is seeing friends and family brutalized by police officers for peacefully protesting racism.  So I make my art surrounding this revolution.  I chose masks to unify my family (protesters), and to instill fear in the fascists who wish to intimidate and silence us.
