A place brings comfort and identification through personal experience. Recognizing and learning features of an environment is key to becoming familiar with it. From a broader perspective, this is also beneficial for the place, providing the foundation for a cultural space. Landmarks and buildings become meaningful through the history and relationships attached. The places I depict are pleasant to my memory through past interactions. By memory painting I am giving meaning to physical features. I perceive the portrayed moment of the past through imagination and space. My intuitive need to express experiences through form derives from seeking interrelationships with place.
